• Add value: Assemble open source and proprietary components by working with leading ISV partners to integrate value-add best-in-class components into industry-specific solution stacks
• Commercially support open source solutions: Provide world-class commercial support for open source software-based solutions, integrating Wind River support and value-added services offerings from partners
• Drive standardization: Sponsor, contribute to, and actively participate in industry efforts and consortia that aim to create standards-based solution stacks, such as the Linux Foundation, OpenSAF, Mobile, LiMo, Android, Moblin, and so on.

The ultimate goal of this strategy is to give customers all of the value inherent in a traditional commercial software offering—roadmaps, maintenance, support, warranty, and indemnification—through a reliable, trusted, world-class vendor.
